How do we prevent leakage of ammonia stop valve?

3. The clamping force of the ammonia stop valve gasket is not enough or there is no pre-tightening gap at the connection.

4. The gasket is improperly assembled and the force is uneven.

5. The processing quality of the static sealing surface is not high, with defects such as rough and uneven surface, horizontal scratches, and non-parallel sealing pairs.

6. The static sealing surface and the gasket of the ammonia stop valve are not clean, and foreign matter is mixed in.

 

Some common prevention and elimination methods:

1. The material and plastic of the gasket should be correctly selected according to the working conditions.

2. Carefully adjust and operate smoothly.

3. The bolts should be tightened evenly and symmetrically. If necessary, a torque wrench should be used. The preload force should meet the requirements and should not be too small or too large. There should be a certain preload clearance between the flange and the threaded connection.

4. The gasket for ammonia stop valve should be aligned with the center and the force should be even. The gasket is not allowed to overlap or use double gaskets.

5. The static sealing surface is corroded, damaged, and the processing quality is not high. It should be repaired, ground, and color checked to make the static sealing surface meet the relevant requirements.

6. When installing the gasket for ammonia stop valve, pay attention to cleaning. The sealing surface should be cleaned with kerosene, and the gasket should not fall off.
